Yes, it Beeps !
but it is not a loud beep and it is a good reminder. The other temp features are fine if you drink that stuff. Looks good. The only really frustrating issue is that it can be very difficult to see the water level in the site glass. No fancy blue light to illuminate the water level like some machines. Then it would be perfect. Happy boiling
Good kettle, but Beeping is ANNOYING
I bought this kettle specifically because it has temperature controls. The kettle works fine, but it BEEPS ALL THE TIME. When you turn the power on, when you pick it up, when you put it back, when you select the temperature. I called Breville asking if there was a way to turn the beeping off or at least turn the volume down (it is LOUD and first thing in the morning, I do not want my kettle beeping at me) but this can't be adjusted. If you are ok with incessant beeping you should be ok with this. I am still in my warranty period and considering returning it.
Great Temperature Control!
I bought this about a month ago and really enjoy using it. It allows easy temperature changes between herbal teas and coffee. The only irritating aspect is how often it beeps. It beeps when you turn it on, pick it up, it finishes boiling and putting it back on the power base - and theres no way to turn it off.
