My last oven was a dud. I thought I'd done all the research and made a good purchase but it was another Ariston nightmare! I was reluctant to replace it because I worried that I might just spend thousands on another failure. It was great to be able to use Appliances Online to compare various products and to cross-match with CHOICE recommendations. In the end, I chose this beautiful Bosch for these reasons: 1. I bake sourdough and wanted steam 2. I wanted both pyrolytic (high heat) cleaning and an interior surface that resisted greasy buildup 3. I wanted slide out runners, having previously struggled with poorly fitting shelves that didn't slide smoothly 4. I wanted a high quality brand with a strong reputation 5. It needed to look good, and preferably not be stainless steel This oven ticked all the boxes and also came with a probe for cooking roasts which works brilliantly! It senses the different temperatures along the length of the probe and cooks meat to perfection. It also came with a surprising collection of beautiful baking ware, including a "universal pan" with an enamel coating, a stainless steel pan with slides into the runners and a pan especially designed for steaming. All three make maximum use of the oven's interior dimensions. There are also two smaller metal dishes for steaming. The quality of the cooking in this oven is next level. The grill browns evenly, and when baking there is the option of adding steam to keep baked goods light and fluffy or to ensure that roasts don't dry out. You can also use the steam on its own to prepare vegetables and rice or legumes. The only concern I had was that some reviews mention the controls are difficult to understand, but when you buy from Appliances Online and pay for installation it includes the installer giving you a walk through of how the oven works, including the controls. This made all the difference! I do think I would have found the controls a bit intimidating without this level of support. It's part of why I always buy from this company.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have being searching and deciding for a large home use steam oven for more than two years. I wish the chosen one is with full steam function, good in build; it is best to also have the normal oven baking function so I don'tneed double oven, it will be even better to have steam assisted function; this oven has to be smart enough that i do not need to spend too much time and effort to learn how to use, this oven has to have easy access to services, this oven must have a reasonable sized water tank to support the traditional Asian cooking involving 1 to 2 hrs continous steaming process; this oven must not claim too much time from me when demanding cleaning...this oven cannot be too expensive... Only until starting to use it, i became very sure that this is just what I needed and wanted. I cannot say it is perfect but not too far from it. It cooks quietly and secretly as cannot feel much heat from the outside during steaming or baking. With the smart menu some popular dishes have been set under combi funciton and worked perfectly. I have steamed rice, chicken and eggplant separately. It was impressed when I saw the steamed chopped eggplant were still in their original state. The chicken was steamed perfectly that even the chicken breast part was so tender. Today I cooked freshly made lasagne by using the set menu from Bosch system, no need to adjust whatsoever about temperature or time or steam, it turned out the cooking process was so neat, no spill or dripping at all even I regretted that filled the pans so full! My daughter has tried baking some butter cookies and the baking process was so calm and the temperature rises very fast when choosing a rapid way. I have read through all the reviews and I feel sorry for those buyers who have had less lucky experiences at the start of the uses, hopefully they would not give up but keep trying. They will then reveal the beauty of this oven. I am aiming to develop and collect more cooking recipes and share with other users as at the moment there are not many tailored recipes for this oven. Bosch please spend a bit more time and effort to promote this wonderful creation for the kitchen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this oven for our kitchen renovation. We spent so much time researching different brands and different products. Finally we landed on this particular modal by Bosch as it has full steam function which is so convenient for our usage. Now we can have whole fish steamed while having vegetables steamed at the same time. The oven function works great too. For a mostly Chinese style dishes, we have lots of small dishes leftovers. And the reheat steam function keeps the taste of the original dish and saves a lot of time compare to microwave heating which ruins the taste and makes everything dry. Let alone heating one dish after another which is so tedious. We love it so far.
