Terrible simmer function
I thought the lower than normal power input of the plates would help with simmering. Unfortunately the hotplate only ever appears to run on high power , with any setting below 9 involving the plate harshly turning on an off. Simmering liquid in a small pot on lower settings usually involves moments of hard boiling and spitting. I ended up purchasing an additional potable induction plate for dishes that need gentle simmering.
The unit also makes odd electrical whining noises when using multiple hotplates at the same time.
