I was looking for a simple replacement of our old ceramic stovetop with an induction stovetop, and this was the best offer available. I liked the fact that it has a lower Amperage then most other induction cooktops, which means my electrical wiring and safety switches did not need replacing. Compared to other induction stoves, it may be a bit slower in heating up, but that is probably due to the above. Still faster then the old ceramic though, but you now have the same great control over the heat (reducing and increasing it quickly) like any other induction stove. The touch buttons work well and it comes with all the features as any other induction cooktops (boost, auto-off, timer etc.). As a matter of fact, I even prefer this one to a Miele induction stovetop that I had in a previous apartment, which was annoying me because that one started beeping when you put anything non-metallic on the stovetop, even when turned off. The Artusi keeps quiet when turned off, so you can also prepare food etc. on it when not cooking.
