Closest domestic gas burner to a commercial one
I do a lot of high temperature stove top cooking - mainly wok stuff but also paellas and some meats. Most domestic gas wok cookers are underpowered especially for fast wok cooking. I use LPG, not natural gas, as I live in a semi-rural area
This burner generates amazing heat and gives wok cooked food the closest to a ‘wok breath’ sear I have been able to get. Also almost perfect for doing paella as it keeps the whole 40cm pan bubbling
The only drawback is that it’s minimum heat is still very high. Good for most wok stuff, not so good for slow cooking the base for a paella early on so need to shuffle the pan between hot plates. Does give the paella an excellent soccarat though
Takes up a fair bit of bench space and you need a good extraction fan but overall highly recommended
